We are not medical professionals and nothing on this site should be construed as medical advice. Our website address is: https://allergysuperheroesblog.com. By using the Site, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

If you leave a comment, certain information may be publicly visible. You will be asked to input your name, email address, and your comment. You may optionally add a link to your website. Your email address will never be available publicly.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

You also have the option to receive email notifications of replies to your comments, or of all comments. You do not have to select this service to leave a comment. If you opt in to this service, we will use your email address to automatically send you notifications of comments you have subscribed to. You may opt out at any time by clicking the link in the email notifications. We will not use your email address for any other purpose.

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Mailing List

You may sign up for our mailing list from the Mailing List form or in the side bar of the Site. If you do, we will periodically send you newsletters from Allergy Superheroes. These newsletters may be used for advertising purposes, in addition to sharing content we believe will be of interest. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows the Site to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties. We only deliver emails to individuals who opt into our mailing list. An “Unsubscribe” link is included in every email.

Purchases

If you make a purchase with Allergy Superheroes through the product links in the sidebar of this website, or through the “Shop Allergy Superheroes” page, we will collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”. If you place such an order, you will be governed by the Privacy Policy on the Allergy Superheroes official website, which you can view here: https://shop.allergysuperheroes.com/pages/privacy-policy
